from the NYT health…a case controlled study..good..i have always used 48 hours or less…depends on the size of the wound..my problem has always been patients AND doctors recommending extended wound coverage..exposing a laceration or incision to air promotes healing and decreases bacteria..please do not have patients clean with H2O2 or iodine…..http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/08/health/08real.html?partner=rss&emc=rss
