via New Iron Preparation Allows Iron Repletion in Single IV Dose. WOW!!! this is really impresive..doses up to 1800 mg. of elemental iron given in an IV dose with no side effects or complications..and this is in a group of patients with a notoriously poor response to IRON therapy..maybe this will stop those gung-ho docs from giving ERYTHROPOETIN to patients with mild anemia..i remember back in the 80s..old geezer docs giving whopping doses of IV iron to their patients without a care in the world..i also remember giving IM iron, using the Z track method..sad to say!!!
